Pontiac Grand Prix specs: 1969-1972
The Pontiac Grand Prix was totally redesigned for 1969, giving up it’s B-body roots and going onto the new G-body platform. Even though it was smaller than the previous fullsize-based G/P’s, this one had the longest hood ever to be put on a Pontiac. The division wasn’t pulling any punches in the power department either. Base engine was a 400 cubic engine gas gulper. There was another 400, two 428s and 455 offerings as well. Speaking of performance, eight different axle ratios were offered, atleast early-on.
