Pontiac GTO specs: 2004-2006
The new GTO was based on the Holden Monaro with each one being imported from Australia. As time passes, the traditionalists are becoming more accepting of the ’04-’06 Goat, though the first one is the least desirable. The 2004 GTO’s were considered too bland in appearance and too tame, even though the LS1 had 350 hp. Things quickly changed for 2005 when a revised front end and a more powerful LS2 engine (400 hp) were fitted. As a bonus, the front brakes were straight off a Corvette these two years.
